This academic project focused on creating a virtual product showcase, using Adobe Substance 3D Stager to simulate a realistic, compelling environment in which to present a chosen product—without the need for a physical prototype.
The goal was to develop a full visual concept that emphasizes texture, lighting, camera positioning, and ambiance to communicate not only the product itself but the lifestyle and emotion it evokes.
For this project, I selected a pair of roller skates and placed them in a vibrant, 1980s-inspired disco setting. Drawing from the visual language of the era, I used elements such as glossy reflective surfaces, chrome spheres, neon colors, and soft ambient lighting to create a funky, energetic, and nostalgic mood. The use of bold camera angles and dynamic composition highlights the skates as both a product and a symbol of movement, joy, and freedom.
This synthetic environment was carefully crafted to sell the product through atmosphere, using visual storytelling and stylized design to appeal to an audience drawn to retro aesthetics and expressive lifestyles. The project tested my ability to model, texture, light, and stage a product virtually, bridging functionality with creative direction.
